Information on mini bikes

Mini bikes are miniature motorcycles, which are also known as mini motos, pocket bikes or pit bikes. Mini bikes have been around for years, since the 50’s where they were built using bits and bobs found lying around which were usually bits of yard equipment such as lawn mowers or anything else which could be found.

The original mini bikes became popular during the 50’s where these mini bikes were used in pit lanes to help racers and teams to get around the pit lanes easily. Mini bikes meant that people did not need to use bicycles to get around the pit lanes, which were harder and slower, and also meant that no extra room was taken up in the trailer when transporting as mini bikes were so small.

Mini bikes were not just used for riding around the pits on though, when the owners got the mini bikes home they would often ride them around their neighborhood for fun. This allowed people to see mini bikes, and children especially liked the idea and wanted their own mini bike to ride around on.

Before long companies were being set up which produced these bikes to sell to the public. Companies such as Rupp mini bikes, and Fox mini bikes created popular businesses selling these mini bikes and in no time everyone was getting into the mini bike craze.

From these mini bikes, throughout the years many more have been designed and created with many more styles becoming available and many more sophisticated engines being produced (the majority of which are now 2 stroke engines).

The most famous style of mini bike is what is no known as pocket bikes or mini motos, these are scaled down replicas of racing bikes used in moto GP or in the world super bike series. These are the most common type of mini bike which you can buy today.

Also pit bikes have evolved, and now are like miniature motocross bikes. These are not just used as pit bikes these days though, there are many competition where these bikes are used including freestyle riding and motocross style pit bike racing.

Mini choppers are also available which are miniature replicas of the larger choppers such as Harley Davidson choppers.

Also today the mini bikes have evolved to having four wheels with mini ATV’s available as well.

With so many types of mini bike available to buy it is no wonder they have taken the globe by storm.

6 fuel saving tips when you drive your rental car

6 fuel saving tips when you drive your rental car

Fuel prices have climbed record levels. It affects our everyday life, and it even makes us conscious when we are on holiday. Here are 6 tips how to save money on fuel when you drive your rental car in Dublin and in Ireland.

1. Choose the right rental car
When you book your car rental, reserve the smallest available model that suits your needs. Smaller cars are more fuel-efficient. In Ireland is very popular to rent economy cars, for example Ford Fiesta. It is easy and comfortable to drive on the narrow Irish roads and it also delivers good fuel economy. Its fuel efficiency is around 6l/100km. While an intermediate size rental car could consume 9l/100km. An SUV’s fuel efficiency is over 10l/100km.

2. Rent a car with a manual transmission
Cars with manual transmission are more fuel efficient and have more power than vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. Hiring a car with manual transmission would help you to save money on fuel because you decide when you need to change gear.

3. Plan ahead
Plan your travel ahead while you are at home and plan your route too. There are many good route planner sites are available online, check them out. Buy a good map, but most of the rental cars come with free Ireland map. You can hire your rental car with GPS navigation or you can bring your own. It helps you to navigate to any town in Ireland, it can save you time, money and headache.

4. Air conditioning or no air conditioning
Ireland’s summers are not really hot, the country doesn’t really suffer from extreme temperatures. Average annual temperature is about 9°C, so air conditioning is not a must. When you drive in the city at low speed, opening windows do not greatly increase your rental car’s aerodynamic drag, it means that your car will use less petrol than if you used your air conditioner. However at high speed, close windows and sun roofs, so your engine doesn’t have to work that hard and you may switch on the air conditioning if you really need it.

5. Turn off the lights
This tip might be a safety concern. Most rental cars have daylights enabled which are rather efficient. Every electrical equipment, which is powered from the alternator, will increase its load on the engine. When you use them, the engine burns more fuel. When you can do it safely, turn off the headlights. If you rental car has fog lights, do not turn it on unless the weather is foggy. Many drivers in Ireland use them for no reason, don’t follow their example, use it if it is only necessary.

6. Turn your rental car off
When you are on a driving holiday, you tend to stop frequently. You take a picture or you check your travel guide where the next Irish village is. Turn your car off when you know that you will not be moving for more than 1 minute.

These tips will help you to keep your driving vacation in Ireland on a budget. If you want to save even more money, it is advisable to plan your holiday ahead and book your car online.

Work at Home Data Entry Jobs : What and Why

Work at home data entry jobs are increasingly popular with those who want to spend more time with family and less time commuting to a minimum wage job. More than just the cost savings is involved–you can also gain greater job satisfaction.

What data entry workers do

Work at home data entry jobs come in a variety of types and skill levels. You can pick and choose your jobs taking into consideration your own interests and abilities, or you can use the work to advance your experience and ability to earn even more income. Work at home data entry includes such activities as secretarial, clerical, accounting, record keeping, data base management and other activities. Data entry workers at home even transcribe medical and legal audio files. Each of these types of services and others require different skill levels but each can and is done in a home office setting.

Benefits of home data work

There are many benefits accrued with work at home data entry jobs. One of the major benefits is that of net income. Because your pay depends on the amount of work you accomplish each day, you are not wasting time traveling to and from your job. Instead, you walk from your kitchen to your home office, sit down at your computer and within moments you are on the job and earning money. Your outgo for transportation, office wear, restaurant lunches and other work related expenses will drop significantly when you work at home.

Benefits to the business

Work at home data entry jobs help the business that contracts with the home worker. The main benefits to the contracting organization is that of economics. Companies that spend training dollars for employees who move on to better paying jobs with other companies essentially lose money on employees who only stay in the job a short while. When the company contracts with home based workers, they are already experienced in data entry and already have chosen the work venue of a home office. The company no longer has to pay for employee benefits such as health insurance or vacation time.

What’s in it for the worker

The person who does work at home data entry jobs is earning a higher net income than one who is forced to commute to work from a home location. Not only are there extra vehicle or commuting expenses, but there are additional child care and food expenses. In addition, some incidentals such as laundry and cleaning costs will be higher for the person who works at an outside job. The worker doing home data entry pays less for the privilege of working. The home based worker also enjoys less stress due to grouchy or nit-picky bosses.

Stress reduction

Reducing stress is a major benefit for those in work at home data entry jobs. High stress levels that are often associated with commuter traffic, with too many cups of coffee and with insufficient exercise and improper nutrition cause blood pressure to rise. Many employees must take calming medications in order to get to sleep at night. This type of bodily stress can cause related health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. While changing work locations won’t solve all the problems of life, it will certainly mean a more relaxed work pace.

The Potential Risk To Personal Data

Posted on July 6th, 2008 in General by ms-online-music-services

The Potential Risk To Personal Data

Where there is good, there is also bad – and that certainly seems to be the case with the internet and cybercrime. The expansion of the internet and the fact that more and more businesses have an internet presence has unsurprisingly led to a similar increase in hacking and other criminal activities where data is stolen and made use of by criminals working from afar.

If you are a business owner you need to think about the amount of personal information you are asking your customers to share with you. Is it entirely necessary to have everything you are asking for? If it is, you need to make sure you are protecting your customers in every way that you can.

Some companies take the stance that they will pay for any losses derived as a result of any personal data being used or accessed by hackers, but that isn’t the right way to proceed. What message does that give to your clients? You want them to know that you are protecting them as much as possible from the word go – they don’t want to know that there is any risk at all.

It’s clear that there are plenty of potential risks to any kind of personal data held or exchanged by websites and their users, whatever the type of business may be. The worst end of the scale points to identity fraud, which can cause misery for thousands of people every year. While everyone should take adequate measures to ensure their data is safe whenever they go online, it is also the responsibility of every single business who has a website to ensure that the site is as secure as possible when it comes to taking care of their customers.

There is no doubt that internet security is big business; it’s simply not possible to protect your website and business free of charge. The best starting point is to analyse the kind of data your business handles, and get the experts in to see where your weak points are and minimise the potential risk that is posed.

It can be seen then that the risk to the security of your own personal data will vary depending on what website you go to. Some will have all the whistles and bells they can possibly use, making your data very safe. But others leave a lot to be desired, so as an individual it pays to be careful.

Taking that individual point of view and holding it up to your own business is very often one of the best ways to plug all the holes you can. Ask yourself what you would think of your business if you were one of its clients. Would you feel that your data was safe in its hands? If you wouldn’t, then clearly it is time to do something about it.

The message is clear – whatever you are doing to protect the personal data of your customers, find out if you should be doing more.
